The Armenian men's team scored a 4-0 victory over Bangladesh in the
second round of the 2012 World Chess Olympiad in Instanbul, and moved
to the 7th position.
The teams of Slovakia, the US and Azerbaijan share the 1st to
3rd places, followed by France. Cuba and Ukraine rank 5th and 6th
respectively.
The Armenian men's team comprises Grand Masters Levon Aronyan, Sergey
Movsisyan, Vladimir Hakobyan, Gabriel Sargsyan and Tigran Petrosyan.
The chief coach is Arshak Petrosyan.
The Armenian women's team defeated the Swiss team 3-0 in the second
round and currently ranks 24th. The Armenian women's team comprises
Grand Masters Elina Danielyan, Lilit Lazarian, Lilit Galoyan, Maria
Kursova and International master Anna Hayrapetyan. The chief coach
is Arthutr Chibukhchyan.
