Soon the pre-holidays shopping will start and many compatriots will
hurry to buy, besides food, household appliances like refrigerators,
ovens, vacuum cleaners and other staff, which is conditioned with
the pre-New year discounts.
It is the right time to remind the Armenian consumers that regardless
the fact whether the product has or does not have a discount, it is
necessary to pay attention to the devices, clothes and in general,
to the origin of the product you are intending to buy, the producer's
details, to the full availability of details. It is also important
to know for which market (European or Asian) the precise production
was determined, to check how the equipment works in the shop.
Also it is very important to know that the Market Surveillance State
Inspection of the RA Ministry of Economy exists, which can be addressed
in case the seller refuses to take the product of a bad quality
back or exchange it with a product of a good quality. These days we
learnt that due to the interference of the indicated Inspection last
year an oven bought from 'Aray' shop that cost AMD 200 thousand was
returned. The complaint, about which the 'Consumers' association' is
well aware of, was connected with the quality of the mentioned device.
In 3 days after the mentioned complaint on February 17, 2011 the
Inspection received another complaint, this time regarding the quality
of a refrigerator with the cost of AMD 230 thousand again bought from
'Aray' shop, since it was found out from the very first day of use
that the fridge does not freeze. Again the company returned the money.
Let us note that the above-mentioned cases do not mean that at
all that all the products sold in 'Aray' shop are of bad quality,
moreover 'Aray' is not an exception when it comes to selling bad
quality products. The Inspection, for instance, received similar
complaints about the chain of shops 'Zigzag', 'Dzipas' shop on 29A
G.Lusavoritch in Vanadzor, VLV on 69/5 Arshakunyats, 'V and V' and
'Vesta' shops in Yerevan, 'Beeline' shop and many others.
The choice and quantity of the products of bad quality imported to
Armenia is very big.
