CSTO COLLECTIVE SECURITY COUNCIL SESSION LAUNCHED IN KREMLIN WITH PARTICIPATION OF THE PRESIDENT

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS: Collective Security Council session
was launched in Kremlin. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh
Sargsyan, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko,
Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kyrgyzstan
Almazbek Atambaev, Russian President Vladimir Putin, President of
Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon as well as CSTO Secretary General Nikolai
Bordyuza attended the meeting.
Collective Security Council session is being held in a narrow format.
The delegations will join the heads of the member states only further
on, in particular Foreign and Defense Ministers and Secretaries of
the National Security Council. International situation development
trends and intentions directed to CSTO enhancement , CSTO military
component strengthening and development projects scheduled for 2020
collective reaction system development in the emergency situations,
Uzbekistan membership in CSTO, predictions refer to the enhancement
of situation in Afghanistan by 2015 topped the agenda.
Suspension of the application by the Republic of Uzbekistan within
CSTO activities will also be envisaged. CSTO Secretariat received
relevant note from Uzbekistan in June, 2012.
