ARMENIA HAS TO CHOOSE BETWEEN EU AND EURASIAN UNION - DIPLOMAT

Armenia has to decide whether it wishes to take sides with EU or the
Eurasian Union, according to an EU diplomat.
At a lecture with students of the Armenian School of Europe's Future,
Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia Trajan Hristea said the country
is fully entitled to consider the appropriateness of its choice.
Ruling out the possibility of a simultaneous membership in both
structures, he called upon Armenia to decide whether it links its
future with the EU or wishes to join the Eurasian projects.
Referring to an earlier statement by FM Edward Nalbandian, the European
diplomat noted 2012 was a European year for Armenia. He particularly
addressed the higher level of the political dialogue and the mutual
visits, as well as the contracts signed.
Hristea said 2013 is going to be a more important period as they are
going to do considerable work to prepare for the 2014-2016 fiscal plan.
