"Similar recommendations, statements has been made more than once,
but Azerbaijan isn't committed to accept them, thus refusing those
suggestions," military expert Hrachia Petrosyants told Panorama.am
asked to remark on Irish FM's statement to withdraw snipers from
contact line.
The expert remarked that although the Armenian side has expressed
its disposition towards the issue, statements refer to the both sides.
"Everybody understands that Azerbaijan obstrcuts smooth negotiations,
makes unjusitifed statements, but it cannot last long. Azerbaijan must
give a clear and justified answer to its actions," H. Petrosyants said.
Asked why Azerbaijan doesn't agree to withdraw the snipers from the
front line, expert said:
"Azerbaijan's domestique life depends on the situation in contact
line. Local authrotieis use it to calm the protest wave down. Official
Baku links all its problems with unstable situation in contact line."
"Azerbaijan has become the slave of its propaganda, and it is obvious
in this respect," H. Petrosyants said.
