Azerbaijan keeps on disseminating an obvious lie. This time referring
to the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, the
Azerbaijani Mass Media reported that the
Foreign Relations Department of Switzerland allegedly declared that it
"does not recognize the presidential election in Nagorno Karabakh,
and recognizes Nagorno Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan and respects
territorial integrity of Azerbaijan."
Being well-aware of "reliability" of the Azerbaijani Embassy's reports,
we applied to the above Department of Switzerland to verify the news
and were not surprised to hear that the Department made no official
statement on the presidential election in Nagorno Karabakh.
In addition, sources close to the diplomatic circles in Switzerland
say that Azerbaijan sent a diplomatic note to the Swiss Foreign
Ministry requesting a condemning statement. In response, the Swiss
party declared it has never made statements in such situations and
has no intention to do that this time either.
