ARMENIA CONTINUES NEGOTIATIONS DESPITE AZERBAIJAN'S BELLICOSE RHETORIC

Secretary of the National Security Council of Armenia Arthur
Baghdasaryan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
of Austria to Armenia Alois Kraut and Austria's Honorary Consul in
Armenia Aram Marutyan.
Arthur Baghdasrayan said Armenia attaches importance to the development
of relations with Austria both in bilateral format and within the
framework of the European Union.
The National Security Council Secretary referred to regional issues,
particularly the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and the relations with
Azerbaijan and Turkey.
Arthur Baghdasaryan noted that "Armenia remains committed to the
principle of peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh issue within
the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group and is ready to continue the
negotiations with Armenia, despite the latter's bellicose statements
and the shameful deal on Safarov." Reference was made to the current
level and perspectives of development of Armenia's relations with
Iran and Georgia.
