MP: SYRIA DEVELOPMENTS UNDERMINE IRAN'S POLITICAL INTERESTS
November 20, 2012 - 16:44 AMT
PanARMENIAN.Net - The developments in Syria are detrimental to Iran's
foreign policy, Iranian MP Karen Khanlarian said.
"The ongoing processes in Syria are different from the political
scenarios in Egypt and Libya," he said, ruling out the reoccurrence
of the Arab Spring in Syria.
The MP further noted it difficult to make forecasts on Syrian
developments.
"As for Iran, it stresses the need for reforms in Syria, deeming
them possible exclusively through internal forces rather than foreign
intervention," Khanlarian said.
