YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS. The Google Developer Group of
Armenia has joined "Take Action" campaign organized by Google, which
is dedicated to the protection of free internet. In a conversation
with "Armenpress" the coordinator of the Google Developer Group of
Armenia Vardan Grigoryan stated that the Armenian group has joined
other Google Developer Groups and sent a video clip in the Armenian
language dedicated to the concept of free internet. The video clip
has not been made public yet.
Among other things Vardan Grigoryan stated: "It has been already two
months that we have sent the video clip in the Armenian language to
certify that Armenia shares the idea of take action. In the video clip
each person says that internet must be free in his mother tongue. The
video clip has not been completed yet."
The coordinator of the Google Developer Group of Armenia noted:
"To my opinion the internet must be available worldwide without any
limitation. As to the fact that in frames of the event there will
be discussions regarding the censorship in the internet, I can say
that in spite of the fact that to some extent this can be considered
as a limitation of the freedom of speech it will anyway improve the
content of the material."
