POLICE ILLEGALLY DETAINED YOUNG MAN IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN. - Armenian police agents searched Anahit Papyan's apartment
and detained her son on Tuesday. Papyan alarmed the Ombudsman's
office on this occasion, Human Rights Defender's Office informs
Armenian News-NEWS.am. The Ombudsman's emergency response group
arrived in the site and found the man in chains. The man said that
he is detained in police department against his will, while police
employees claimed they invited the young man to the department and
in addition, he is not arrested. Besides, the man said he has not
undergone any violence but he does not get why he is detained in
fact. The emergency response group representatives tried to find
out whether the man's name is registered in the register of detained
people and received the answer that it is not registered. Additional
