Armenia's fourth international exhibition opens
YEREVAN Oct. 12
The fourth edition of Armenia's international exhibition of
Panarmenian Expo opened here on Friday, with the pariticipation of
dozens of domestic and foreign companies.
The three-day expo was organized by the Prom Expo company, and was
co-sponsored by the ministries of economy and diaspora, as well as the
country's chamber of commerce and industry.
Anahit Asatryan, manager of the expo's organizer, said some 65
companies, some of which are from Turkey, George and Syria, have
registered to attend the exhibition, which is organized every three
years.
Prom Expo company director Arman Zakaryan said this year's exhibition
will focus on health, insurance, industry, agriculture and
construction.
The exhibition, since its first one in 2003, is aimed at forging the
links between Armenia and the rest of the world in such sectors as
economy, culture, and science and technology, promoting business and
investment, and showing to the world the country's economic potential.
