Over its whole history Armenia has never had such a bad foreign affairs
minister like Edward Nalbandyan, the head of FAAE and of the Armenian
community of Slovakia, Ashot Grigoryan, said at today's press-conference in
Yerevan.
"Even the ministers of the Armenian Pan-National Movement, which I treat
not so well, for instance, Aleksandr Arzumanyan, which has been always
criticised by me, used to work better. As for Nalbandyan, he only walks and
gets a buzz", - Grigoryan said. He also added that Nalbandyan does not
cooperate with organizarions of the Armenian Diaspora, in particular, with
FAAE, and often acts even against them. If Armenia goes on conducting such
a foreign policy, danger will be seriously hovering over existence of the
Republic of Armenia, he said.
Grigoryan said that the Armenian Diaspora is seriously concerned about the
current situation in Armenia.

"The Diaspora declared that it will not interfere in domestic political
problems of Armenia. But we have gradually turned into ATM which gives a
certain sum when needed. However, at present, stemming from the current
situation in the country, we have decided to interfere at the necessary
moment and resolve problems which, we think, are pulling the country to the
bottom", - Grigoryan said.In this context, touching on the lawsuit filed
against ex-foreign minister of Armenia, Vartan Oskanian, Grigoryan said
that this case is a political one and is a result of a clash between
Prosperous Armenia Party and Republican Party of Armenia. He also added
that the statement by US Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern on the matter
was rather impartial but a little bit late.
