    Struggle against corruption in Armenia reminds the sociologist Aharon

    `Time and again, when it exceeds all bounds, they start sacking or
    jailing one or another, they organize a `month of struggle'. Everyone
    is jailed for a month, and then they are `safe and sound' in office
    again,' the expert said.


    Back in early 1990s, on his proposal, Armenia's government had an
    anti-corruption department to study officials' personal data.

    However, the department was closed after Hrant Bagratyan was appointed
    Armenia's premier.
