An unexpected turn was happened in Vahram Margaryan's trial, who is
the brother of Gurgen Margaryan, the Armenian officer axed in Budapest
by Safarov. Vahram Margaryan is accused of murder on Zakyan Street. On
October 19 accuser Armen Afandyan presented a motion to the court to
go back to the investigation.
The prosecutor changed the accusation against Vahram Margaryan. Now,
he is not accused of possession of illegal weapons and murder but
only possession of illegal weapons.
It is noteworthy that the press reported a couple of days ago that
Serzh Sargsyan instructed the law enforcers to immediately release
Vahram Margaryan.
Lawyers aware of Vahram Margaryan's case think the accusation is
wrong. In this sense, it is good if wrongly accused Margaryan is
in freedom.
The interesting is what would happen if Hungary didn't extradite
the killer and Aliyev didn't pardon him. Would the Armenian power
pay attention to the case of the brother of the Armenian officer
killed by the Azeri, or whether Vahram Margaryan would be freed if
Safarov wasn't?
But the Armenian authorities should not consider their task done.
Margaryan's family is in socially and psychologically hard condition.
It is necessary to help them overcome the difficulties also to prove
people don't have value in Armenia only when it pursues demonstrative
goals.
