Yerevan /Mediamax/. Head of the OSCE Office in Armenia Andrey Sorokin
complimented for the recent parliamentary elections in Georgia.
During today's meeting with journalists, he noted that "Constitution
won in Georgia, Mediamax reports.
"The current President already accepted his defeat at the parliamentary
elections. One should have courage to admit one's defeat and state
it at once that as a President he is ready to interact with the new
government", noted Head of the OSCE Office.
According to him, "from the standpoint of constitutional fundamentals,
the Elections in Georgia were held successfully".
"I don't want to say the elections were so successful that everyone
should liken to them. I just pay my homage to the man whose party
lost", said Andrey Sorokin.
In his turn, the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia Traian Hristea
refrained from comparisons between the elections in Armenia and
Georgia noting that "each state is a separate case and the elections
are assessed based on the local realities".
