By signing a document on establishing diplomatic relations with South
Sudan, Azerbaijan has paved way for the recognition of
Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) Republic, a spokesperson of the ruling
Republican Party has said in a statement.
Commenting on Azerbaijan's move, Edward Sharmazanov says the country
admitted in this way that it recognizes people's right to
self-determination.
`By signing the document, Azerbaijan affirmed that the race for
people's right to self-determination continues around the world. It is
noteworthy that the process also paves way for the NKR international
recognition, with Azerbaijan admitting that there is no alternative to
the international recognition of Artsakh,' reads the statement.
