YEREVAN.- A resolution recognizing Nagorno-Karabakh Republic's (NKR)
independence was a warning to Azerbaijan, former Karabakh Foreign
Minister Arman Melikyan told reporters on Saturday.
He pointed out good ties between Karabakh and Australia, recalling
activities of NKR representative in Australia.
Melikyan did not rule out possibility of establishing relations in the
fields of economy and culture between New South Wales state and
Karabakh.
`The faster Karabakh comes out of blockade and gets an opportunity to
establish ties with other states, the faster international recognition
problem will be solved,' Melikyan added.
Australia's New South Wales Parliament adopted a resolution
recognising the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh and the right to
self-determination of its Armenian people.
