TURKISH PRESIDENT WARNS LATVIA AND LITHUANIA AGAINST DECISIONS ON ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

Turkish president Abdullah Gul warned Latvia and Lithuania against
making decisions on recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
During his trips to Latvia and Lithuania, Gul told Turkish reporters
that sometimes parliaments make decisions on the 1915 events, Cihan
agency reported.
"Such a decision was made by the parliament [Lithuanian] back in
2005 but the government was against it," Gul said, noting that the
governments are attaching importance to friendly relations with Turkey.
