YEREVAN, APRIL 8, ARMENPRESS: Foreign Minister of Armenian Republic
Edward Nalbandian on April 8 received British politician, Liberal
Democrats' main frontbench spokesperson in the House of Lords on
Foreign Affairs and government spokesperson in the House of Lords on
the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Lord in Waiting Baron Wallace of
Saltaire. As Armenpress was informed from press, informational and
public relations department of Armenian MFA, during the conversation
Minister Nalbandian stressed the importance of recent high level
bilateral mutual visits and measures taken for the development of
trade and economic relations.
Expressing gratitude for the reception, Lord in Waiting Baron Wallace
of Saltaire has noted that interest of Great Britain in the
development of cooperation with Armenia is gradually increasing.
Edward Nalbandian and Lord Wallace recorded the interest of the two
countries in the further deepening and extending of the partnership.
Interlocutors have referred to number of international and regional
issues. Armenian Minister presented to the guest the latest
developments of the settlement process of NKR conflict. In this
regard, Lord Wallace has noted that the only resolution that UK sees
for the conflict is the peaceful settlement of it and underlined that
it suggests the efforts initiated by the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk
Group.
