NEW STAGE OF ARMENIA-EU TRADE AGREEMENT NEGOTIATIONS TO LAUNCH IN THE MIDDLE OF APRIL

YEREVAN, APRIL 10, ARMENPRESS. The new stage of negotiations regarding
the Armenia-EU Deep and Comprehensive Trade Zone agreement will launch
on April 16-17. The Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of
Armenia Garegin Melkonyan stated this during the presentation of
report entitled "Armenia-EU: Economic Relations: the Impact of Deep
and Comprehensive Trade Zone Agreement on Bilateral Trade Ties." The
presentation was held on April 10. As reports "Armenpress" Melkonyan
stated: "The majority of the chapters of the agreement have already
been agreed upon. Certain chapters are still included in the agenda
of the negotiations, notwithstanding I don't see deep and sharp
difference in the approaches adopted by the sides." In addition the
Deputy Minister stated that taking into consideration the course of
the negotiations, it will be possible to end them by the end of the
current year.
Among other things the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of
Armenia Garegin Melkonyan emphasized that there are certain nuances
and special attention should be paid to those aspects.
