YEREVAN.- The outflow of skilled professionals is typical for all
countries, head of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises
Karen Vardanyan told a briefing.
`We have 10,000 people working in IT sector and the outflow makes 500
people a year,' Vardanyan said. He believes the outflow can be stopped
by facilitating creation of local companies.
`The salary of qualified personnel in the IT field in Armenia is so
high that we are faced with immigration of professionals. For example,
a senior engineer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology asked
to find him a job in the IT sector in Armenia,' Vardanyan emphasized.
