YEREVAN. - Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister, Acting Territorial
Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan on Tuesday received India's
Ambassador to Armenia, Suresh Babu.
Gevorgyan wished the newly appointed ambassador success in his
accountable mission, and expressed confidence that he will contribute
to the development of relations between the two countries, the
Territorial Administration Ministry press service informed Armenian
News-NEWS.am.
The interlocutors discussed the ongoing Indian-government-assisted
programs in Armenia. Gevorgyan expressed a delight that attention
is paid also to the implementation of projects in Armenia's regions
and communities.
They specifically explored the avenues for continuing certain programs
in the regions, and starting small investment projects aimed at
community development.
Reflecting on the project to set up computer classes, the deputy PM
noted that the Armenian government underscores the development of
Information Technology in the country's regions.
Armen Gevorgyan likewise drew attention to the programs aimed at
establishing small industries that operate on local raw materials,
and noted that the Armenian party is interested in the implementation
of similar projects.
