DULUTH, Minn., April 16 -- University of Minnesota Duluth issued the
following news release:
This spring, the University of Minnesota Duluth recognizes and
celebrates the books published by UMD faculty and staff. UMD has many
strong and productive scholars, but too often their work is unknown
by the larger community. This body of published work represents an
exceptional accumulation of creativity and knowledge, from novels
and nonfiction, to textbooks and scholarly works. The following
list highlights books that faculty or staff wrote, contributed to,
or edited from 2011 to the present.

Ron T. Marchese, professor, College of Liberal Arts, along with Marlene
Breu, has a book out, Splendor and Pageantry: Textile Treasures from
the Armenian Orthodox Churches of Istanbul. Published by Citlembik
Publishing in 2011, it features a detailed study of Armenian arts and
crafts. It is an extensive catalogue of sacred textiles in Istanbul
Armenian churches.
