CLASHES OCCUR BETWEEN POLICEMEN AND ACTIVISTS IN FRONT OF YEREVAN CITY HALL (VIDEO)

Clashes have occurred between a group of policemen and Armenian
National Congress advocates today in front of Yerevan City Hall.
The activists conducting protests every Friday in front of the
building of Armenia's Chief Prosecutor's office demanding release
of political prisoners marched to the Yerevan Municipality calling
the incumbent mayor a criminal. The policemen were not allowing the
activists approach the building, nevertheless they succeeded to do it.
As a result of the clashes the activists cracked the wall of the
policemen and managed to stand in front of the building with posters.
Yerevan deputy police chief Valery Osipyan arrived on the scene
claiming that their noise disturbs the normal working process of
the municipality.
ANC member Vladimir Kaparetyan explained that the protesters demand
explanations about the 6 million drams Taron Margaryan has registered
in his application and with what sums he has purchased the mansions.
Karapetyan said it is a good example of corruption and kickbacks
Armenia's president is fighting against but does not do any steps to
reveal where from the mayor has such means.
The ANC activists stated that they are marching to the Liberty Square.
