BAKU SEEKS MEETING WITH ARMENIAN DELEGATION AT PACE SESSION

Samad Seyidov, head of Azerbaijan's delegation to the Council of
Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE), plans to meet with the leader
of the Armenian parliamentary delegation on the sidelines of the
assembly's session in Strasbourg next week.
"We would like to hold a meeting of the heads of the Azeri and Armenian
delegations to PACE within the sub-committee on Nagorno-Karabakh,"
Seyidov told journalists on Thursday.
"We even would like this meeting to take place not only at the level
of delegation heads, but involve both delegations in full," he said.
Azerbaijan has long sought meetings in such a format, but Armenia
has rejected all these offers, he said.
"I will again try at this session to meet with the head of the Armenian
delegation. I am certain that this meeting will take place," Seyidov
said, adding that PACE President Jean-Claude Mignon was making efforts
in this issue as well.
