RAFFI HOVANNISIAN IS FOR HAVING CITIZEN PROTECTING POLICEMAN AND NOT SLAVE POLICEMAN

Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian came to the Special
Investigation Service together with party activists to support deputy
leader of the party Armen Martirosyan invited to the SIS in connection
with April 9 incident with a policeman on Baghramyan Ave.
Speaking to reporters in front of the building of Prosecutor General
office, Hovannisian said their aim is to have a policeman serving
for the citizens and not being a slave policeman.
He said they are demanding from 'de facto' authorities to subject to
responsibility those who gave orders to policemen on April 9 and the
policemen who used force against a citizen.
"The double violence against Armen Martirosyan impedes the
constitutional right of Barev Yerevan alliance's activity. We have come
to demand punishment of each violator be it a policeman, a commander,"
he said.
