EUROPEAN DEPUTIES STRESSED THE IMPORTANCE OF SUPPORT TO SYRIAN ARMENIANS BY INTERNATIONAL STRUCTURES

YEREVAN, APRIL 25, ARMENPRESS: Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran
Sargsyan hosted members of European Parliament's EU-Armenia Friendship
Group headed by Eleni Theocharous. As Armenpress was informed from
press service of the government, head of executive greeted the visit
of the deputies to Armenia and hoped it would promote the development
of bilateral ties. Afterwards interlocutors have discussed economic
situation of Armenia, Armenian-Turkish relations, as well as issues
regarding Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Responding to deputies' questions
Prime Minister Sargsyan has noted Armenia remains to be faithful to
the peaceful settlement of NKR issue in frames of OSCE Minsk Group
and is willing to spare no effort to reach the peaceful settlement
of the conflict. Interlocutors have also referred to the issues of
Syrian Armenians and to the assistance of Armenia to them.
