ARMENIA TO JOIN WORLD ORGAN DAY EVENTS

YEREVAN. - In 2013, the world community marks the 850th anniversary
of the cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris and, in this connection,
May 6 is declared World Organ Day.
On that day, 850 concerts will be performed, in the spiritual and
concert halls of all five continents, during which the creations that
were performed at Notre Dame de Paris will be played.
The world's leading media will cover this event.
The National Center of Chamber Music will represent Armenia in this
cultural undertaking, as the Armenian concert devoted to World Organ
Day will be held on May 6 in capital city Yerevan's Komitas Chamber
Music Hall.
According to concert coordinator, Center Deputy Director Armen
Sukiasyan, solely French organ music, from the repertoire of the
Notre Dame de Paris organ players, will be performed during the event.
