Employees of World Wildlife Fund (WWF) managed to film a video of a
Caucasian leopard (Panthera pardus saxicolor) in the Khosrov Forest
State Reserve of Armenia, the Fund reports. The Caucasian leopard is an
endangered species and only a few individuals have remained in Armenia.
The video was made with cameras installed in the 2,000 hectare Caucasus
Biodiversity Shelter on the night of July 1. The area is under the
protection of WWF and is sponsored by VivaCell-MTS Company, World Land
Trust (UK) and International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
