International astrophysics center to open at Armenia's Byurakan Observatory

YEREVAN. - An international astrophysics center will open at Armenia's
Byurakan Observatory, stated Observatory Director Hayk Harutyunyan,
during a press conference on Saturday.
The relevant agreement was signed with the International Center for
Relativistic Astrophysics Network.
`The main objective is the opportunity for holding conferences, [and]
joint work by scientists from a variety of countries. Also, the
program will enable to frequently head abroad and work with
colleagues,' Harutyunyan stated.
To note, Byurakan Observatory was founded in 1946, and it is one of
the most important astronomical centers in Eastern Europe.
