Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh - APA. The Armenian serviceman, who was
captured while trying to pass the part of the contact line controlled
by the Azerbaijani Army, has been taken to Baku.
Secretary of the State Commission for Prisoners of War, Missing
Persons, and Hostages Affairs Secretary Shahin Sayilov told APA that
the reason why Armenian servicemen passed the contact line is being
specified.
`He has no documents. He said his name is Gevorkovich Injigulyan. But
some websites write his name and surname incorrectly. At present, he
is held at the Defense Ministry in Baku', noted Sayilov.
Sayilov mentioned that officials of the International Committee of the
Red Cross (ICRC) would meet with the captive in the coming days:
`Azerbaijani representation of the ICRC does not work due to Ramadan
holiday. Therefore, they have not met with the captive yet. Probably,
the issue of his return to Armenia will also be discussed. If he wants
to return to Armenia, he will be sent back. Everything will depend on
his desire. Committee officials take into account the desire of the
captive'.
On the night of August 7-8, two servicemen of Armenian armed units
passed the part of the contact line controlled by the Azerbaijani Army
in the direction of Aghdam frontline.
`Defense Ministry' of the separatist regime, which has occupied
Azerbaijani territories, has confirmed the fact that Armenian soldier
passed the part of the contact line controlled by the Azerbaijani
Army.
Press service of the `Defense Ministry' said that on the night of
August 7-8, at about 3 am, soldier Akop Gevorkovich Injigulyan, 22,
