YEREVAN, AUGUST 10, ARMENPRESS: On the initiative of Diaspora Ministry
of the Republic of Armenia a troupe consisting of pupils of `Holy
Cross' college in Lebanon staged in academic theatre of Yerevan after
Mher Lazarian performance `We are Armenians'. `Armenpress' was
informed from ministry of Diaspora that the troupe was also
participating in the sixth stage of `Come home' program.
The performance had been staged three times in Beirut. It introduces a
symbolic history of love of Diaspora Armenian boy and a girl from
Yerevan which has a happy end and they create a new Armenian family.
Syrian Armenians came to enjoy the performance, participants of `Come
home' program, and employees of Diaspora ministry. Head of
pan-Armenian programs' department of Diaspora ministry Atom Mkhitaryan
highly estimated the activity of those groups which keep alive
Armenian culture in Diaspora. He expressed assurance that the troupe
will continue successfully its activity keeping and developing
Armenian theatrical art in Lebanon.
