YEREVAN, August 13, 2013, ARMENPRESS. Abrupt response is the sole way
to restrain the activity and aggressive stance of the rival on the
Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Military Expert Davit Jamalyan stated
this at the course of the press conference convoked on August 13. As
reports "Armenpress" Davit Jamalyan highlighted:
"We must give relevant response to the constant violations of the
ceasefire regime by the rival. We must make them understand that this
kind of conduct may result in serious casualties."
Azerbaijan initiates steps for the destabilizing the situation on the
border following various objectives. Among other things Davit Jamalyan
recalled that Azerbaijan made attempts to destabilize the situation
on the border during the visit of the U.S. Secretary of State to
Azerbaijan in 2012. "This time the activity of the Azerbaijani side
on the border coincided with the visit of the Minister of Foreign
Affairs of Azerbaijan to the United States," Davit Jamalyan noted. In
the expert's opinion it's possible that thus Azerbaijan wants to extort
something from the Unites States or to check their reaction on war. In
addition Jamalyan underscored that Aliyev uses the destabilization
on the border for the political struggle inside the country, as the
presidential elections are upcoming in Azerbaijan.
