    MOSCOW. Aug 12

Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a working regime to Baku
on Tuesday to discuss bilateral relations with his Azeri counterpart
    Ilham Aliyev.

"The presidential visit program includes negotiations with Aliyev in
narrow and broader formats and the signing of five to six agreements
in energy, transportation and other spheres," Presidential Aide Yuri
Ushakov told a press briefing in Moscow.

A plan of cooperation between the Russian and Azeri emergency
situations ministries may also be signed, he said.

"The presidents will speak about major global and regional issues, the
legal regime of the Caspian Sea and the Karabakh conflict settlement,"
    Ushakov said.

The Caspian Flotilla's Dagestan missile ship and Volgodonsk gunship
will be visiting Baku during the summit. Putin may visit one of them.

In turn, Azeri warships will pay a visit to Russia. "The time of their
visit has not been chosen but visits will be exchanged to emphasize the
fruitful nature of bilateral relations," the presidential aide said.

Azerbaijan is a leading partner of Russia in the CIS. "Russia and
Azerbaijan maintain an intensive political dialogue and active trade,
inter-regional and cultural relations," Ushakov said.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu,
Energy Minister Alexander Novak, Economic Development Minister Alexei
Ulyukayev, Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Puchkov and Transport
Minister Maxim Sokolov will be accompanying Putin during his visit.

Rosoboronexport General Director Anatoly Isaikin, Rosneft head Igor
Sechin and Lukoil President Vagit Alekperov will be members of the
    Russian delegation, too.

"The composition [of the Russian delegation] shows that it is
planned to discuss the entire range of bilateral relations at the
    negotiations," the presidential aide said.

Trade between Russia and Azerbaijan has been growing steadily. It grew
    10.8% to $3.4 billion last year, and another 50% in January-May 2013.
