UNDERWATER SURVEILLANCE DEVICE TESTED IN YEREVAN (PHOTOS)

YEREVAN. - The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Armenia
recently obtained and underwater surveillance device.
The gadget is at the disposal of the Special Water Rescue Squad of
the MES Recue Service.
The service specialists conducted a theoretical course and practical
exercises in capital city Yerevan these days, to get familiar with
the capabilities of the device, the MES press service informs.
The working depth of the underwater surveillance device is 120 meters
and its maximum allowable depth is 150 meters.
The apparatus has a moving camera, whose recorded images are displayed
on a screen, and its filmed material can be recorded on video.
The device has three engines, which enable it to move either
horizontally or vertically, plus two lamps.
The gadget is commanded by remote control, and its speed and lamp
lights can be regulated.
The underwater surveillance device makes the water rescuers' activities
become more effective.
