ARMENIA TO HAVE NEW CANNERY PLANT

YEREVAN. - A new cannery plant will open in Armenia in October,
Spayka Company official Karen Baghdasaryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The plant will produce fruit and vegetable preserves. It will endeavor
to obtain large volumes of raw material, with up to 100 tons per day.
The investments to this project will amount to $12 million.
"The plant will operate all year round. The farmers will benefit from
this, as well. They can sell not solely fruits and vegetables that look
good as a product, but as technical, at the plant," Baghdasaryan noted.
