YEREVAN. - Armenian squad's forward Norair Aslanyan is confident
that his team lost the Albania friendly because of poor-quality pitch
in Tirana.
"The pitch was in bad condition. There were a lot of holes. Armenia's
style is to play short passing. So, we did not play our game," he
said in an interview with NEWS.am Sport.
He noted that Albania had problems, too, but they are accustomed to
such a pitch.
"Of course, there are other problems, too," Aslanyan emphasized.
Asked about the atmosphere at the Armenian squad, the player stressed
that they were in good mood. However, Aslanyan said it is difficult
to assess his game because he had appeared only for 10 minutes.
Armenia suffered an unexpected defeat in Albania losing 0-2 in a
friendly on Wednesday.
