Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry comments of Armenia's proposal to
exchange captives

Eldar Sabiroghlu: `In his interviews with Armenian media, Firuz said
that he wants to go a third country, what has changed suddenly?'
Baku. Fuad Jafarov - APA. Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry has commented
on the Armenian Defense Ministry's readiness to exchange Azerbaijani
captive Firuz Farajov for Armenian captive Akop Injigulyan. Spokesman
for the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Eldar Sabiroghlu told APA that
they were informed about the proposal of Armenia's Defense Ministry:
`Firuz Farajov has been held captive for more than a year and basing
on his interviews with Armenian media, we can say that he always
wished to go to a third country in accordance with instructions. What
has changed suddenly that he has come to such a conclusion? It is not
difficult to understand. Such a statement of the Armenian Defense
Ministry is related with the fact that Armenian serviceman has been
captured by Azerbaijan. I would not like to express decisive position
in this regard. These issues are in the competence of another relevant
body.
