Intact Borders Is Satanist Idea
Different ideologies often treat different political tendencies and
processes from the same point of view, and most often negatively.
First of all, it has been noted that communist and liberal-democratic
ideologies treat similarly such a challenge of the late 20th and early
21st century as the ethnic political separatism. It is easily
explained. Neither of the ideologies has a united genesis, and both
reflect the imperial idea of universalism.
Separatism was and remains the biggest threat to the USSR and Russia,
and the Russian state treats separatism unequivocally. At the same
time, the Russian propaganda is flooded with illustrations of
real-life separatist events and moods in different states of the
European Union.
In fact, the European Union is facing separation of several ethnic
`provinces' from metropolises. Of course, they are not provinces but
historically formed states, peoples who have made an outstanding
contribution to the European history and culture, and the legitimate
referendums confirm the democratic expression of most of these peoples
on self-determination to complete separation. In this regard, the
European Union cannot put forth counterarguments except economic
advantages or rather harm, and there are no relevant confirmations
because most often economically successful `provinces' are concerned.
The only thing that the president of the European Commission Jose
Manuel Barroso found to tell about Catalonia was that it will not be
able to join the European Union because Spain will be against. Here is
a fully democratic argument, isn't it?
It should also be noted that no ethno-political or ethno-territorial
issue in the European Union or the post-Soviet space was resolved with
the help of economic development or democratization. At the same time,
the notion of separatism which got its dialectics and transformed in
the public consciousness from something negative and extremist to
something quite respectable is practically a synonym of freedom. In
addition, it becomes clear that the special services of the respective
countries are unable to reveal any compromising material on the
leaders of separatist movements while one can find them in abundance
on the leaders of the European states.
Of course, the Russian political space has seen leaders of such
movements which are associated with cannibals but mostly discriminated
and divided peoples faced the monstrous policy and genocidal actions
of the leaders of `metropolises'. Achievements and the setup of the
European Union made democratic discussion of the issues of separatism
possible or at least an enabling environment was created for
separatists to refrain from radical and armed actions and acknowledge
exceptionally political methods of fight.
Certainly, it should be noted that for the time being the European
environment has not offered adequate methods of resolution of
ethno-political issues, and the Europeans have to admit that the
problems were resolved neither in Bosnia, nor in Kosovo. The Balkans
is facing new problems which will not be resolved under the dominance
of the ideology of universalism.
Keeping state borders intact is a Satanist idea which brings
enslavement, discrimination, repression and humiliation of individuals
and peoples. What liberalism? Only free peoples can offer a genuine
political and economic unity which is not in place yet. Discriminated
peoples in this era of freedom and democracy have to prove to Europe
in bloody games their right to exist, sometimes only to exist.
The answer of a European diplomat who is well-acquainted with Western
Europe to my question whether `the Romanian people have the right to
unification' was not just categorical but a slogan: `No'.
Hence, Russia and the European Union agree on this sensitive issue,
and they agree in politics by default. So what is Russia afraid of,
which is so jealous about the politics and geopolitics of the European
Union? One thing is understood - discriminated peoples are in the
avant-garde of the real fight for freedom because a human cannot be
free unless his nation is free.
