SECURITY MUST BE NUMBER ONE MATTER OF ARMENIA'S FOREIGN POLICY ORIENTATION

YEREVAN. - Armenia must not seek different paths as the core issue
is security and national interests, former MP Vardan Bostanjyan said
referring to foreign policy orientation.
Despite importance of economic issues, foreign policy must be built
based on security which is number one matter of concern, he believes.
"Nowadays Armenia has to choose Russia, given the security guarantees
within CSTO. As to sales of Russian weapons to Azerbaijan, we must
prove to be a reliable partner to avoid such deals," Prosperous
Armenia member told reporters on Wednesday.
Armenia is expected to initial Association Agreement, a core element
of which is Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA),
during the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius.
