Heritage party MP Tevan Poghosyan believes that the postponement of
presidential elections will be more beneficial for the authorities.
"The postponement will be more beneficial for the ruling party's
candidate as the force having more resources will win. In this regard
of course the authorities have more resources and will conduct events
for two weeks more. Whether it helps them to get votes or not will
be clear in future," Poghosyan told a news conference on Tuesday.
The postponement will mean two-week additional campaign. "May be it
will be good as it has been stated many times that the time provided
for campaign is not enough and should be prolonged," he said.
On the other hand, he though said that the postponement may bore
the citizens.
In any case he said Heritage party candidate Raffi Hovhannisian is
growing more and more.
Referring to the incident with presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan,
the MP said conclusions should be made from it and presidential
candidates must not refuse having bodyguards. "The presidential
candidates should have additional protection," he said.
