Election observation missions and groups monitoring the February 18
presidential election in the 1988 polling stations across the republic
did not record any violation of the electoral process by the military,
the Ministry of Defense said on Wednesday.
The Ministry said this in reply to the violations recorded by the
campaign headquarters of presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian which
can be found at www.raffi4president.am/hy/violations and the photograph
provided by electronic media which is attached to the violations.
"While the Ministry does not rule out the possibility of 'guiding'
the military, it is eager to know the polling station the photo was
taken in so that it can specify the details of the incident and bring
those resposible to justice," the Ministry said in a statement.
