PSYCHOLOGIST: HUNGER STRIKE IS MORE IMPRESSIVE THAN INTELLIGENT SPEECH

"Hunger strike is a new political format. Our society does not trust
too much the politicians who hold hunger strikes, and it cannot have
any prospective, especially when the demand is not clearly stated,"
said today ethnographer Hranush Kharatyan.
According to her Hunger strike is a method to concentrate the attention
of the society over his viewpoint. "Raffi Hovhannisyan's hunger
strike, for example, was not clear. He concentrated the attention of
the society over himself but it remained unclear how it supported
his viewpoints," the speaker said and added that she knows Andias
Ghukasyan personally.
"Many people are interested not in problems the hunger striker raises
but the hunger striker himself," she said.
According to Armen Soghoyan, psychologist, the hunger striker is
perceived as a victim, it receives additional attention and emotions.
"This step seems more influential than the intelligent speech,"
he said.
