Uruguay's Fenix current striker Mauro Guevgeozian said he had received
an invitation from the Armenian national football squad and was going
to join the team.
"The only thing I asked the Football Federation of Armenia was a
first-class ticket, but the Federation refused to fulfill my request,"
he told NEWS.am Sport correspondent Vera Martirosyan.
"I have not joined the team. The flight lasts 20 hours, while I had
only a day to recover. That was my only demand, and I think it is fair,
taking into account the distance. However, I was refused. It turns
out that I was not so important for Armenia. I am maximum worth of
a trip in economy class. I wish Armenian team new victories," he said.
On February 5, Vardan Minasyan's team will play a friendly match
against Luxembourg in French Valance. The 27-year-old striker of FC
Ufa Michael Marcosov and FC Emmen midfilder Norair Mamedov-Aslanyan
have also been invited to join the Armenian national.
