ARMENIAN ARMED FORCES MANAGED TO IMPLEMENT ITS MOST IMPORTANT DUTY DURING THESE 21 YEARS

The Armenian Armed Forces are coming up today with the peace achieved
during these 21 years, military expert Davit Jamalyan told the
reporters on Monday.
He said during these years they managed to solve the most complicated
issue they are facing - maintaining the peace.
Referring to current issues, Jamalyan stressed that the staff of the
commanders of the units have been filled with professionals.
"A special attention was paid to the issue during the past two years.
The minister has awarded and encouraged the unit commanders. Many of
the units are headed by professionals and the works are still under
way," he said.
The other issue is the reinforcement of contract-based sergeant
institute. He stressed that the soldier's profession should be made
attractive in Armenia.
"It is a very complicated issue especially taking into consideration
the social issues. But here as well we have certain achievement. There
are special training classes. In few years we will have sergeant
staff with high level of preparedness," he stressed.
Jamalyan reminded that last year the Armenian Armed Forces unharmed
few subversive groups sent by the enemy.
"The majority of our military staff are being filled by the local
residents, knowing very well the territory, not fearing of the enemy,
which is very important. In case something happens in Nagorno-Karabakh
the Commander of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army is there within
minutes," the military expert said.
