FOREIGN COMPANY BRANCHES IN ARMENIA SHOULD MAKE THEIR RULES CONFORM TO COUNTRY'S LAWS - EXPERT

YEREVAN. - The foreign company branches and organizations that
function in Armenia should make their corporate rules conform to the
laws in Armenia.
Corporate law specialist Artak Garoyan told the aforementioned to
Armenian News-NEWS.am.
"I have come across cases when a foreign company has imposed its
working rules upon its branch in Armenia. [But] work is regulated
differently in Armenia.
"As case in point, there exists a maximum working week concept here
[in Armenia]. There are clear limitations in the case of additional
work, too.
"The [Armenia] branch [of a foreign company] is considered an Armenian
company, [and] therefore it must comply with the laws of Armenia,"
Garoyan noted.
