YEREVAN, JULY 9, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian-Romanian tradeeconomic and
scientific-technical relations have a development potential. This
was stated by the Minister of Transport and Communication of the
Republic of Armenia Gagik Beglaryan and the Minister of Economy
of Romania Varuzhan Voskanyan during the 4th session of the
Intergovernmental Commission on the Armenian-Romanian trade-economic
and scientific-technical cooperation.
"During the last years the trade-economic cooperation between the
two countries has been developing quite unstably and the bilateral
commercial indicators are on a low level. I am certain that due to the
agreements achieved during the today's session will have a positive
impact on the development of the economic relations between Armenia
and Romania", - said the Minister of Transport and Communication
of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Beglaryan in his opening speech of
the session.
The Minister of Economy of Romania of Armenian origin Varuzhan
Voskanyan stated that he is proud of contributing in the strengthening
of the Armenian-Romanian interstate relations. "First of all we
should use the traditional ties, which have been formed between the
Armenian and Romanian people during the history. The Romanians have
always assisted the Armenians in hard times. On the other hand, the
Armenians in Romania are not only citizens, but also founders. There
are cities in Romania, built by Armenians", - said Varuzhan Voskanyan.
In the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission on the
Armenian-Romanian trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation
it is intended to hold an Armenian-Romanian Business Forum, organized
by the Armenian Development Association and the Union of Manufacturers
and Businessmen of Armenia.
