ARMENIAN MOD RESPONDS TO AZERBAIJANI ALLEGATIONS

YEREVAN. - The UN has confirmed the danger of landmines in Armenia,
and the Armenian Defense Ministry cooperates with the most prestigious
international organizations and donors in the domain of humanitarian
demining.
The Armenian MOD press service release states the aforesaid, in
response to Azerbaijani allegations.
To note, Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) Director
Nazim Ismayilov had claimed that the donor countries had refused to
continue funding the Armenian MOD Humanitarian Demining and Expertise
Center.
"Ismayilov's assessments are nothing but a miserable attempt to restore
ANAMA's damaged standing before the international organizations in
the domain of humanitarian demining," the MOD's notes, in particular.
