YEREVAN, JULY 19, ARMENPRESS: The Artsakh Republic President Bako
Sahakyan received the Defense Minister of the Republic of Armenia
Seyran Ohanyan on July 19. A number of issues related to army building
and cooperation between the two Armenian states in this sphere were
discussed during the meeting, attended by the Artsakh Republic Defense
Minister Movses Hakobyan. As Armenpress was reported by the Central
Information Department of the Artsakh President's Staff, the meeting
subsequently continued in an enlarged format with the participation
of the Armenia's Defense Ministry's delegation. Special attention
was paid to army's provision and ware maintenance as well as communal
construction.
In his speech the President considered important the need to give a
new quality to the works in this direction and elaborate long-term
programs, pointing out that such an approach would give a renewed
impetus to the country's economic development and effective utilization
of its potential.
The Prime Minister of Artsakh Ara Harutyunyan, the Vice Prime Minister
Arthur Aghabekyan and other officials attended the meeting.
