FELLOW SOLDIER DETAINED OVER DEATH OF SERVICEMAN

A criminal case was opened under the Criminal Code's Article 373
part 3 in connection with the July 22 death of Narek Hovepian, a
serviceman of the Defense Army of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic. A
fellow soldier of the killed serviceman has been detained, Aysor.am
was informed by Mary Sargsyan, a senior officer of the press service
of Armenian Defense Ministry's Investigation Service.
The abovementioned article of the Criminal Code is related to breach
of rules for handling weapons which negligently caused a human death
and is punished with an imprisonment of 4 to 8 years.
According to preliminary information, Narek Hovsepian was mortally
wounded by the detained person accidently, when the latter was cleaning
his gun.
